The Surgery Department at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System is seeking 4 licensed full-time Optometrists. The position provides support of the day-to-day activities of the Eye Clinic. Incumbent will provide care as delineated in the clinical privilege list for Optometrists. Duties include but are not limited to:
Work Schedule: 8am-5:00pm

Physical Requirements:
Light lifting, under 15 pounds; Light carrying, under 15 pounds; Use of fingers; Both hands required; Near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4; Far vision correctable in one eye to 20/50 and to 20/100 in the other; Hearing (aid permitted); and Mental and emotional stability.
Basic Requirements:
Preferred Experience: Completion of an Optometry Residency
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
