    This vacancy is for an Operation Research Analyst in the Economic Statistical Methods Division (ESMD) located in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

    Responsibilities

    The individual selected for this position will:

    • Use standard operations research methods and procedures to formulate problems applied to data from standard data sources.
    • Develop and run programs using commercial statistical software packages to test potential solutions.
    • Develop programming specifications to work with existing programs or systems.
    • Assist in providing research and methodology support as related to disclosure avoidance procedures applied to tabulations of economic data as well as microdata.
    • Prepare technical reports and analyze and interpret results.
