    This position is located in the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General (DoDIG), Office of the Deputy Inspector General for Auditing (OIG-AUD), under the Assistant Inspector General for Acquisition and Sustainment Management (ASM).

    ·         Planning of projected work including development of long range and annual audit plans;

    research and coordination of fact sheets and audit plans; and monitoring organizational

    progress and performance;

    ·         Supervising staff through subordinate supervisors, overseeing or directly assigning work; establishing performance standards and evaluating performance; rewarding employees;

    ensuring appropriate staff development; ensuring adherence to merit principles and equal

    employment opportunity; recommending selections, promotions or reassignments; and handling complaints, grievances and minor disciplinary actions;

    ·         Overseeing audit execution and the development of concepts and approaches, guides, and resources; conducting audit reviews; and reporting progress;

    ·         Directing the development of audit reports, ensuring compliance with standards and protocols and the development of appropriate corrective actions; and defending audit results through the resolution process;

    ·         Maintaining liaison and representing OIG with internal and external stakeholders and officials

    of OIG, DoD, other Federal agencies, nongovernmental organizations, foreign governments, and Congressional staff; and

    ·         Preparing and/or presenting briefings to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Congress and other stakeholders

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - May require up to 25% of temporary duty travel (TDY)
