What General Information Do I Need To Know About This Position?

As a Biologist within the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, some of your specific duties will include:
- Serve as point of contact for bird banding and band encounter operations.
- Administer the processing of bird banding and band encounter reports.
- Coordinate with other staff to implement standard operating procedures and develop new or modified work processes.
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control of band and band encounter data.
- Develop special data sets useful to conserve and manage migratory birds.

Occasional travel - Average of 2-5 nights per month of travel required.
