    This position is located in the Wage and Hour Division, Southwest Regional Office, Dallas, Texas. This position serves as a Wage Analyst in a developmental capacity to perform analytical duties relating to prevailing wage rate surveys.

    This position has promotion potential to GS-11. Promotion Potential: There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected. Future promotions are dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and supervisory approval.
    - This position is inside the bargaining unit.

    Responsibilities

    Participate in planning and scheduling wage surveys; conduct and complete all phases of wage and area surveys intended to determine wage rates for federal construction projects. This entails defining the universe for less complex building, residential, heavy and highway construction wage rate surveys; analyzing individual responses and response patterns where the need for analysis of response patterns is limited. Participate in preparatory meetings, workshops, and presentations to all interested parties including contractors, associations, unions, and government agencies. Analyze wage survey data including the determination of the accuracy of the submitted data and the clarification/verification of questionable or unclear data; resolving discrepancies or anomalies in responses. Analyze and evaluate survey processes and results in terms of data, collection, accuracy, and findings based on accepted methods, principles, and practices; prepare end of draft survey reports and other related correspondence.
