The duties described below are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
As a Supply System Analyst for the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) you will develop specifications for automation of new or complex supply management processes. Assure integration with related supply and logistics program functions.
You will serve as functional program manager for designated areas of logistics operations, including purchasing, inventory management, and research and cataloging. Ensure compliance with regulations and with customer needs. Ensure effective systems and interfaces among designated functional areas.
You will monitor a variety of supply program and integrated logistics criteria to identify potential negative trends or re-engineering opportunities in supply management practices. Coordinate with coworkers to locate and resolve negative operational procedures or implement business practices to facilitate effectiveness of supply management programs.
Analyze impact of recent regulatory changes or new legislation on various aspects of the agency's
supply practices and procedures. Prepare and coordinates new operating instructions and changes to procedural manuals and training program content.
