    About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.   This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center Staff Management Directorate, Charlottesville, VA.

    Responsibilities

    Maintain law and order within the federal jurisdiction of National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) facilities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and established procedures; and to prevent unauthorized access to NGIC facilities, materials and information. Perform a range of law enforcement, crime prevention, and security protection duties within a sensitive intelligence operation facility. The work impacts the physical safety and welfare of the NGIC work force, and protects sensitive intelligence facilities, equipment, and information from unauthorized access.

    Occasional travel - Temporary duty travel may be required 20% of the time
