This position is located in Joint Interoperability Test Command, though this announcement may be used to fill similar positions in other organizations. 

Multiple Locations (2): Fort Meade, MD and Fort Huachuca, AZ. This announcement is an open continuous announcement, which means that it is open for a longer period of time and certificates will be pulled at various intervals as needed. The first certificate will be pulled two (2) weeks after the opening of the announcement.

Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC), is a Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) field activity.  As experts in information technology testing, certification, quality assurance, and operational/functional testing, JITC is accelerating the Nations' information technology dominance. • Serves as technical expert on the limitations of proven concepts and practices of broad and complex subject matter, field or functional area. .

• Develops new and improved concepts, principles, and techniques that will advance the body of knowledge of computer science. Adapt and apply advanced computer science methods and techniques to solve complex computer processing requirements.

• Develops software systems; such as operating system theory, data structures, computer system architecture, software engineering, and computer communications.

• Develops computer graphics systems using graphic display systems, general purpose graphics languages, and optimization techniques. .

• Performs technical engineering support to DISN transport and global net-centric solutions, systems development, systems design, systems architecture, engineering, software engineering, test and evaluation, security engineering, network engineering, systems engineering or systems analysis.

• Plans modifications to complex subsystems, or major systems, or transmission equipment of extensive global communications networks.
