    This position is located in the Department of Defense, Office of the Inspector General, Mission Support Team, Strategy, Planning, and Innovation Office.  The incumbent is responsible for workforce program design, including policy and operations for planning, evaluation, and workforce management to meet OIG mission critical requirements.  The incumbent is responsible for oversight of data analysis and reporting, position/billet control, advice to management, and associated policies.

    As a Management Analyst your duties will include but are not limited to:

    Workforce Planning Policy & Oversight

    • Directs development of the OIG Strategic Workforce Plan.
    • Liaises closely with OIG leadership and component action officers to direct the development and implementation of systems, processes and analyses to determine optimum workforce structure to build capacity for immediate and long-range mission requirements.

     Workforce Assessments & Studies

    • Leads organizational and work force assessments, work load studies, business and process analyses, and other projects to evaluate position utilization and workload distribution, staffing levels, grades, and competencies.

     Annual Planning

    • Provides critical advice and input into the OIG annual budget planning process related to workforce allocation and organizational structure.

     Oversight of Workforce Planning Systems

    • Oversees the design and implementation of systems and processes for position allocation and billet tracking.  Manages, reviews, and makes recommendations related to requests from components affecting position allocations and organizational structure.  Ensures position management is consistent with component allocation and budget.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Less than 10% travel is required
