    You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist in the Office of Information Technology, responsible for establishing, maintaining and managing an integrated Agency wide system of guidelines, standards and procedures for data processing and telecommunications security functions.

    As an IT Specialist, you will:

    -Independently analyze the access controls for automated systems and the methods of storing, copying, transmitting, and destroying data.
    - Analyze and monitor the organization’s compliance with Federal, Treasury, and TIGTA security standards and guidelines.
    - Develop, maintain, and encourages professional working relationships with computer security specialists in other government agencies and in the private sector. Coordinate with analysts and managers responsible for automated information systems within the Agency. Maintain liaison with other Federal agencies, interdepartmental groups, and the private sector concerning matters affecting the security of unclassified information processing systems.
    - Maintain a high level of technical expertise with respect to computer and telecommunications hardware and software developments, and uses this knowledge to anticipate security problems or requirements for involvement in new Agency programs, projects or modifications to existing computer systems.
    - Plan and conduct quantitative and qualitative security risk analyses to determine the opportunity for an impact of destruction, disclosure or manipulation of protected data, and provide minimum standards for safeguarding information.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Travel up to 1 - 5 days per month is possible.
