This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Chief Operating Officer, Office of Human Capital (CHCO).
The following are the duties of this position at the CN-53 (Broadly equivalent to the GS-13). If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As an Employee Assessment Specialist, you will:
- Analyze job requirements and content to establish criteria for classification, selection, training, and other related personnel functions. Observe and interview employees to obtain information regarding job requirements, job satisfaction and other relevant position information.
- Develop psychometrically sound and useful tools, including interview techniques, rating scales, and psychological tests used to assess skills, abilities, and interests for the purposes of employee selection and promotion, leadership development, or for assessing individual, group and organizational effectiveness.
- Develop surveys and scales and uses survey methodology to assess employee opinion, organizational climate and culture, and organizational effectiveness.
- Advise CFPB managers concerning personnel, managerial, and organizational policies and practices and their potential individual, group level and organizational effects; develop and implement methods and tools for assessing and measuring individual and organizational effectiveness; provide guidance to managers in evaluating relevant data as indicators of effectiveness.
