The incumbent provides the primary technical leadership statewide for information technology applications that support conservation planning, natural resource management, and ecological sciences applications. The incumbent provides natural resource conservation guidance across multiple disciplines but is assigned the technical leadership for forestry within the state.

    • As the State Customer Service Toolkit Coordinator, provides coordination and technical leadership for the development and application of information technologies in the state in support of conservation planning, program implementation and ecological sciences disciplines.

    • Serves as the State Forestry Coordinator. Provides technical leadership for forestry-related practices and assesses and delivers forestry-related training needs for field office technical staff.

    • Serves as the NRCS technical liaison to the Kentucky Division of Forestry, the USDA-Forest Service, the University of Kentucky Extension Forestry staff and other forestry-related agencies and organizations to ensure overall coordination and to address technical issues associated with the delivery of NRCS conservation programs.
