Military Attorney Applicants: Retirement/Separation Orders

Civilian Attorney Applicants:

Exercises significant independence and personal judgment to provide advice to the command on all areas related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act, and general release of information generated or maintained by the Government, and is
responsible for generating policies. Serves as the primary command FOIA attorney with requirement to monitor FOIA processing at all levels, with a special emphasis placed on FOIA requests related to procurement actions. Maintains the command FOIA regulation to ensure legally compliant and efficient FOIA processing. Responsible to immediately issue corrective instructions to command personnel when required to remedy deficiencies in Command FOIA Program. Provides the final legal review on all Command responses to requests made pursuant to the FOIA, ensuring that such responses are compliant with all applicable Federal
statutes and regulations, are issued in a timely fashion, and that all exemptions are appropriately applied. Responsible to monitor and coordinate FOIA issues impacting entire AMC with FOIA Attorney at HQ, AMC and at other MSC commands as they arise. Provides
recommendations to HQ, AMC FOIA Attorney as requested.Serves as legal adviser for various installation administrative, civil, and fiscal law issues,including, but not limited to, AR 15-6 investigations, private organization fund raising, contract and fiscal law matters, post government employment and ethics advice, official misconduct matters, and myriad other administrative, civil, and fiscal law issues.
