The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
(CRNA) is accountable to the Chief of Surgery and is responsible for providing
the most effective delivery of anesthesia care while meeting and exceeding
Duties/Responsibilities will include, but are
not limited to:
~ Pre-anesthesia, peri-anesthesia, and
post-anesthesia care in outpatient and inpatient settings, under the medical
direction of an anesthesiologist.
~ Administration of general anesthesia,
spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia in
collaboration with the anesthesiologist.
~ Performing thorough
pre/peri/post-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia
patient care plans.
~ Emergency airway management in the

~ Assisting with process improvement and
quality assurance activities specific to the department as needed.
