This recruitment will be used to fill seasonal appointments. These appointments are not to exceed 1039 hours in a twelve month period, although positions may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs. Expect to work May to October.

Major Duties : The incumbent works under the direction and supervision of the Trails Supervisor. The incumbent is responsible for assisting and/or independently performing general trail maintenance activities assigned by the Trails Supervisor, including construction of various trail structures including fences and retaining walls, and general trail repairs. The incumbent will operate rock drills, hand and power tools associated with trail maintenance and repair, as well as operation of motorized equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Heavy physical exertion is frequently required in bending, lifting, and using hand and power tools in trail work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work will be outdoors, subject to the weather. Trail work is dusty and hazardous conditions may exist when falling and bucking trees, and working around machinery.
