The incumbent acts as technical expert in the information security aspects of personal computer hardware, Local Area Networks (LANs), commercial personal computer software, custom personal computer programming, and telecommunications. They must possess a mastery of these specialty areas. The incumbent is an expert technical resource providing Central Office, as well as Regional and Field personnel with IT security support on nationwide computer applications. They will analyze software and evaluate new technology that will support all Bureau personnel in order to advise top IT and user management.
