Duty Location: This position is located at the United States Army Medical Command, Emergency Department at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI.

Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year round including surfing, paddling, diving, fishing, and hiking. Conversely, Hawaii has one of the highest costs of living in the United States. Average homes range from $500 - $600K. The rental market is also very high, as are vehicle operating costs. Before deciding to relocate to the Islands, you should thoroughly research the housing options and costs. Federal employees are currently entitled to receive a non-taxable cost of living allowance (COLA).

Federal employees in Hawaii are currently entitled to receive a 12.25% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.  This is subject to change.

As a Supervisory Physician Assistant, you will serve as Director of Urgent Care Services and Administrative Supervisor of Physician Assistants in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Your duties will include:
• Provide supervision for subordinate employees to include: planning work, preparing schedules, assigning work, resolving complains, and determining training needs.
•Provide examination, diagnostic studies, and treatment to patients of all ages.
•Treat illness and injury commonly seen in the Emergency Department and Urgent care setting.
•Investigate department processes and procedures to insurge they promote patient safety and are cost effective.
•Present formal medical lectures and coordinate guest speakers for medical students.
