Serves as a Crime Analyst providing crime analysis relating to
violent crimes. Addresses crime analysis issues based upon both
national and international data collection efforts in support of the
National Center for Analysis of Violent Crimes (NCAVC). Reviews and
analyzes reports relating to complex violent crimes submitted by
police departments. Maintains routine liaison with other Federal,
state and local agencies regarding the analysis and completion of
the nationwide data base reports. Assists in the training of FBI
and other Federal, state and local law enforcement personnel with
regard to crime analysis and the nationwide database by providing
segments of an overall training program. Performs related duties.

GS 9: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience
equivalent to the GS 7 level.
Specialized Experience work involved conducting small studies that
may be integrated segments of larger more complex crime analysis
projects/studies which had specific objectives.


Education may be substituted for experience as outlined below.
GS 9: Applicants must have two full years of progressively higher
graduate education or a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
COPIES OF TRANSCRIPTS MUST ACCOMPANY ALL APPLICATIONS.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used
to meet the above requirements provided you can show that the
foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited
education institution in the United States.

Occasional travel may be required.
