Applies knowledge of regulations, policies and analytical procedures.
Applies a full-range of principles, concepts and work processes common to the administrative management field.
Researches and analyzes data, issues, and information that support project recommendations or the work assignments of senior specialists.
Enters data into case management systems.
Plans, organizes, conducts, analyzes, and reports results of field office studies.
Reviews and analyzes collected data to compare and project quantifiable data.
Understands the field office's various business units and processes (e.g. financial, HR, facilities, inventory, records, operations, etc.) and how it operates.
Interprets data, draws conclusion and makes recommendations as to the most appropriate course of action based on results of analysis and application of accepted principles.
Prepares and presents findings, orally and in writing, to higher-level management personnel in the field office and FBIHQ.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE (SE):
Qualifications for the GS 7: Applicant must have one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS 5 grade level. SE is defined as:
-Responded to basic inquiries regarding administrative matters by referring to written policies and/or standards.
-Processed functions in accordance with set office/agency policies and procedures.
Qualifications for the GS 9: Applicant must have one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS 7 grade level. SE is defined as:
-Responded to inquiries regarding administrative matters by referring to written policies and/or standards.
-Processed functions in accordance with set office/agency policies and procedures.
-Applied logical thought processes to complete an analytical process or product.
-Prepared and presented findings, orally and/or in writing, to higher-level management.

Education may be substituted for specialized experience (SE) as indicated below:
GS 7: Applicant must have one (1) full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. Superior academic achievement is the completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (3.0 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or as based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum), or (3) honor society.
GS 9: Applicant must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a LL.B. or J.D., if related.
Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
Candidates are ineligible to apply if currently on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP); or have failed a PIP and are currently awaiting the final action by your Human Resources Office.
A Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is a 90-day written developmental plan for an employee whose performance on one or more critical elements is rated "Unacceptable".

Policy has been implemented wherein support employees entering a position through a competitive OR non-competitive action may be precluded from moving to another position within the Bureau by means of reassignment or change to a lower grade for a minimum of 12 months. This policy does not apply to probationary employees. All selectees, with the exception of current FBI employees, will be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
Relocation expenses will be borne by the selectee, except FBI employees returning from Legat assignment. Generally, following a COST TRANSFER you will be eligible for transfer after completing three years in the assignment. Additionally, NO COST TRANSFER require a one-year assignment commitment to be eligible for further FBI transfers.
