You can progress from $42K to 62K in 3 years! Year 1 - $42,048 (GS-07), Year 2 - $51,433 (GS-09), and Year 3 - $62,228 (GS-11). Promotions to the next grade/salary level are neither guaranteed nor automatic, but based on supervisor initiation.

Location: Management Services Office, Acquisition and Assistance Management Division, Financial Assistance Management Branch, Policy Section, Lakewood CO.

Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in the development of policy, maintenance of systems, and coordination of data calls.

Researches and analyzes laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to provide policy guidance and/or develop briefings of financial assistance issues.

Assists internal and external stakeholders in providing guidance and direction regarding the proper award and administration of federal financial assistance.

DEFINITION OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as follows:

GS-07 - 1 year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in Federal service.

All GS-7 applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include analytical review techniques; research techniques; experience with information management systems and applications; experience with the formulation of presentations and briefings; and experience with business management.

GS-09 - 1 year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-07 level in Federal service.

All GS-9 applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include analytical review techniques; research techniques; experience with information management systems and applications; experience with the formulation of presentations and briefings; experience with business management; experience with internal control reviews; and experience with award and administration of federal financial assistance agreements.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Applicants may also qualify on the basis of education or a combination of education and experience.

GS-7: One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.

GS-9: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Category rating and selection procedures will be used for evaluating this position. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your on-line responses to the vacancy assessment questionnaire will be used to determine the quality and extent of your experience, education, training, etc., for placement in one of the following categories: 1) Best Qualified, 2) Well Qualified and 3) Qualified. Qualified candidates will be assigned a numerical score on a scale of 70-100 and Veterans with preference will be placed at the top of their respective category.
