TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION :  As allowed by OPM guidelines, the Massachusetts Air National Guard follows a three tier advertisement process.  The three tier process will be as follows:

 

Tier I: All current MA ANG tenure 1 and 2 technicians and MA ANG permanent AGRs

Tier II: All current MA ANG members, to include tenure 3 and tenure 0 technicians, traditional guardsmen, and temporary AGRs

Tier III: All individuals eligible for immediate enlistment into the MA ANG

 

**If selected from Tier I, position will be permanent. If selected from Tier II and III, position will be indefinite.  If a permanent resource becomes available, incumbent may be converted to a permanent appointment without competition. **

Duties

This position is located in the Intelligence exploitation section at an Air National Guard (ANG) Intelligence unit.  The primary purpose of the position is to perform specialized intelligence duties as an  Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) Unit crew commander.  Supervises through subordinate leaders or supervisors, three or more sections of Intelligence Operations Specialists to train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with multi-intelligence (multi-INT) Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED) activities.  Provides real-time TPED support to National Agencies, Joint Commands, Air Force Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Air Operations Centers (AOCs), and US and coalition airborne assets in exercises and contingency operations.  Ensures real-time and near-real-time multi-INT reporting and analysis by all exploitation sections.
