GS 11: $63,091.00 - $82,019.00

GS 12: $75,621.00 - $98,305.00

Computer Scientist at the GS 11/12 level in the FBI works to leverage advanced specialized computer science knowledge and skills for the identification, investigation and analysis of a variety of unusual conditions and problems, and implementation of rigorous analytical solutions in furtherance of FBI mission.


  • Serves as a staff member of a software development organization responsible for Research, Development, Testing & Evaluation (RDT&E) of new software systems.
  • Participates in the development and creation of information technology (IT) enterprise architecture, which will support FBI agents and analysts.
  • Assists in defining and implementing integrated systems architecture that achieve related goals.
