NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Upon acceptance of a military technician position military members who are currently receiving a military Reenlistment/Extension Bonus (REB) or GI Bill-SR Kicker may lose incentive eligibility and may be subject to termination or suspension of incentive (includes indefinite and temporary technicians on assignment for more than 180 days in any continuous 12-month period).

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:  

Current military members of the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve or Regular Air Force

Military grade of E-3 through E-6

Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS authorized, subject to National Guard Bureau approval.

Relocation Costs IS authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation and an agency determination that a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is in the Government’s best interest.

Duties

THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION

This position is located in an Air National Guard Wing, Safety Office. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the ground safety program for the installation involving diverse group industrial safety and occupational activities and provide advisory safety services to tenant organizations. The incumbent advises command staff and operating officials on safety requirements, standards and procedures. The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to ensure the safety program is upheld by providing advisory safety service, guidance and direction to base personnel. The incumbent will work closely with the Chief of Safety.

THIS POSITION MAY BE CONCURRENTLY ANNOUNCED WITH VA A14-074 . ONLY ONE OF THE ANNOUNCED POSITIONS WILL BE FILLED. REFERRAL AND SELECTION WILL BE IAW CNG FPR 335.
