Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
A. I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education, OR a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR a LL.M. (if related) from an accredited college or university. Education must be in the field of safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification.)
B. I have a combination of education and experience. I have the specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and I have some of the education as listed in "A". I have computed the percent of experience and education I have completed and verified it equals or exceeds 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of specialized experience by 12, this is the percentage of experience you have completed. Then divide the number of graduate semester hours by 54 and this is the percentage of education you have completed. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.
C. I have specialized experience as described in above AND the education as described in letter "A". (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification.)
