This position is located with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) in the Office of the Deputy Chairman for Management & Budget, Finance Division, Washington, DC.

As the Accountant you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Obligate documents that may include grants,
cooperative agreements, travel, transportation, supplies, training, printing,
charge cards transactions, each according to its specific requirements. Verify that appropriate approval is granted,
and the funding and coding is valid.
Prepare invoices for payment in the Oracle
Delphi system, each type of document according to its specific requirements;
ensure that obligations are matched and coding is appropriate; approvals are
received and funding is available before submitting to Certifying Officer.
Assist Director in the issuing of travel
charge cards, overseeing cardholder activity, maintaining records and preparing
calendar year reporting.
Ensure that all payments made have been
Treasury Confirmed in Delphi. Research
Treasurys canceled payments, contacts payee for corrected bank information,
ensure that system and all related parties are properly updated recertified
payments are made.
