While not required, Applicants with experience in a variety of analytical chemistry techniques for chemical characterization and quantitation of trace levels of chemicals or products of chemical with macromolecules in biological matrices is preferred.
If selected for this position, you will:
· Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for one or more contracts performing a wide variety of chemistry activities and toxicokinetic studies in support of the mission of the DNTP;
· Apply knowledge of chemical and biological theories, methodologies, and practices to independently manage and monitor the contracts for technical performance in accordance with all required specifications and guidelines;
· Provide technical guidance and problem resolution to the contractors and to DNTP project leaders requesting studies;
· Oversee protocol outline development for the study design;
· Monitor the fiscal performance of contracts;
· Serve as a chemistry resource for DNTP multidisciplinary project teams in the design and interpretation of tasks or studies;
· Stay current and informed on advances in scientific and technological methods in specialty areas;
· Review, edit, write and prepare materials as needed; and present findings of studies conducted through contract resources.
