Duties

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team of individuals providing a variety of office automation, receptionist, and clerical support duties for the United States Attorney's Office, Brownsville, Laredo, McAllen, South Texas Division. Typical work assignments will include:


•Selects and integrates a variety of office automation software in support of Division’s activities.
•Provides office clerical and administrative support to attorneys and legal support staff members utilizing typing skills and a knowledge of office automation hardware and software systems.
•Produces a variety of written documents utilizing varied and advanced functions in each of several types of office automation software.
•Receives incoming telephone calls and visitors to the office.
•Responds to inquiries from the courts, general public, defense attorneys, Probation and Public Defenders Offices, and provides general information regarding office programs.
•Serves as a timekeeper responsible for time and attendance (T&A) for assigned personnel.
•Receives, reviews, and distributes incoming mail.

Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
