This vacancy is for an Economist position in the AD for Regional Economics, Regional Product Division located at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis in Washington, DC.

The incumbent is an Economist within the Regional Products Branch, GDP by State Services Section. As an Economist, the incumbent will collect and analyze data from a wide variety of sources, develop programming modules using statistical software packages, create measures of regional economic activity, adhere to rigid production schedules and established methodologies, and communicate in writing and in person about economic statistics, concepts, and statistical procedures as part of a collaborative work process.

One year probationary period may be required.

The individual selected for this position will:

Major Duty 1 - Collect and analyze data from a wide variety of sources
