As a Lease Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing a leased building inventory and administering GSA lease contracts for assigned buildings.
One position is located in the Public Buildings Service, Service Centers Division, New York, NY. The other is located in the Public Buildings Service, Service Centers Division, Newark, NJ. This office is responsible for providing space for federal customers either in federally-owned facilities or through the acquisition of leasehold interest.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $78,361 per year, if you meet the following qualifications. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify, you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent.
Examples of such experience are: providing technical advice and guidance on lease administration programs and activities. This experience must include reviewing and analyzing a wide range of leases and realty transactions to ensure financial accuracy; communicating orally and in writing to address issues ranging from routing to highly complex in nature; and identifying, researching and analyzing lease administration issues and providing solutions and recommendations to management.
NOTE: Qualifications are based on length and level of experience. Therefore, in addition to describing duties performed, applicants must provide the exact dates of each period of employment (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours per week if part time. HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

- Knowledge of the property management industry, including private sector leasing protocols and practices involving facility operations and systems.

- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control methods and standards, inspection and evaluation procedures and issue resolution required to ensure optimal contract performance.
- Knowledge of technical operating and customer-focused strategies required to create a facility environment that exceeds customer expectations.
- Knowledge of leased facility operations necessary to assess the feasibility and impact of space moves and alterations on tenant agency operations, in order to minimize adverse impact
