This position is located in the WARRIOR HOPE & CARE CENTER, WOUNDED WARRIOR BATTALION-EAST, CAMP LEJEUNE, NC. The Candidate selected for this position will serve as a RECREATION ATTENDANT for MCCS.

Performs work in one or more recreational activities that may include:  aquatics or pool activities, outdoor recreation, athletics, fitness and/or sports activities or programs and or similar Warrior Hope and Care Center (WHCC) recreational services.  Serves as part of the facility management team and will also help oversee and checkout recreation gear to patrons of the facility.  Assists in oversight of activities and basic services to authorized wounded, ill and injured patrons, to include providing general information on the use of equipment and services.  Provides information concerning facility use and operation.  May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or performing clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed.

Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures.  Monitors and checks the security of premises, including checking ID cards.

Provides world class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Assists Marines and Sailors and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.  Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.  Takes action to solve problems quickly.  Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs. with assistance.

May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours.

May travel to complete work assignments or attend conferences and meetings.

Six months experience in a related exercise activity is desired.  Skill to learn WHCC policies, rules and regulations.  Ability to communicate orally and in writing.  Skill to tactfully assist wounded, ill and injured Marines/Sailors.
