The VA Western New York Healthcare System is seeking a qualified full-time Primary Care Physician to work in our outpatient clinic at the Batavia, NY Medical Center. The selected candidate will manage the care provided to patients enrolled in primary care and precept mid-level providers in multidisciplinary treatment teams for a panel of approximately 1200 - 1300 patients. May include evening and weekend clinic hours. Candidates must possess strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with electronic health record, and primary care outpatient experience required. Familiarity with the VA electronic record system preferred. Board Certification preferred.

a)  Citizenship:  Citizen of the United States. (Appointments may be made without regard to citizenship requirements if determined that it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens for the necessary services)

b)  Education:  Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.  The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. 

c) Licensure and Registration: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia

Must be BE/BC in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.  Recent outpatient clinic experience preferred.
