AREA II: All Excepted Technicians of the New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG)
AREA III: All members of the NJANG or those eligible for membership
If a New Jersey Army National Guard (NJARNG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG
If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

Any TSgt who is selected for this position will not be given a start date until they are promoted to MSgt

Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion.
