This position is located in the Peace Corps, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Budget and Analysis. The office is responsible for managing and administering the planning and budget processes of the United States Peace Corps. The incumbent performs duties covering centralized planning and budget activities. These duties include budget analysis, budget formulation and related external presentation, process improvement, and consolidation of Agency-wide budget.

This position is located in the Peace Corps, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Budget and Analysis. The office is responsible for managing and administering the planning and budget processes of the United States Peace Corps. The incumbent performs duties covering centralized planning and budget activities. These duties include budget analysis, budget formulation and related external presentation, process improvement, and consolidation of Agency-wide budget.
Manages the execution of the approved budgets. Makes funds available in the approved fiscal year to agencies to support their missions, functions, and programs. Oversees the economical and efficient use of funds available to prevent excess obligations and expenditures.

Manages the process of preparing detailed analyses and estimates of funding needs for one or more future budget years. Oversees budgeting activities, including gathering, comparing, and correlating information about projected costs of current and future programs and activities. Reviews extensive written justifications related to detailed proposed the agency budgets. Provides legislative and regulatory guidance and advice for agency budget formulation and overall fiscal policy issues.

Prepares justifications for estimates to be used in the presentation/enactment of the budget. Presents budget estimates and justifications to top management officials. Prepares and participates in the presentation of budget estimates and requests before the the agency executive group and/or before Congressional appropriations committees.
