If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and may be required to attend U.S. Army Basic Training. Applicant may contact an Army National Guard Recruiter.
If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion. Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer rank to Enlisted only. Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant.

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position: A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.
MAJOR DUTIES: Supports the DMC with the planning and execution of unit movements, and management of military convoys for all services within or passing through the state. Provides assistance in reviewing and validating Unit Movement Plans (UMP) and Unit Movement Data (UMD) prior to submission to Forces Command (FORSCOM). Coordinates with the various State Departments of Transportation (DOT) to determine highway availability, restrictions, and permit requirements. Provides official estimates of post mobilization transportation capabilities and requirements and disseminates information to appropriate military commands. Collects, evaluates, and monitors information necessary to modify the Strategic and State Highway Network Database to meet DOD movement requirements. Manages the State General Services (GSA) lease Vehicle Program (less recruiting and retention vehicle program). Ensures leased vehicles are managed in accordance with regulatory guidance. Coordinates with Property Book Officer's in maintaining required records for the GSA leased vehicle program. Performs other duties as assigned.
