This position is assigned to the Communications and Law Enforcement Coordination Staff (CLEC), Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA). CLEC performs outreach and public affairs duties to enhance the United States Attorneys' community's visibility and interactions with its primary constituencies, the local media, the law enforcement community, government officials, and civic organizations. The staff provides information, training, guidance, and technical assistance to the 94 United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) on Department priorities and initiatives in the areas of web and social media communications.

Duties

      If selected for this position as IT Specialist typical work assignments will include:
      •Advise and assist staff and web administrators in the technical design, creation, and implementation of website content and applications.
      •Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the design and delivery of internet services,coordinating between Justice Management Division (JMD) (the server host) and USAO points of contact as needed.
      •Serve as technical liaison for 94 USAOs' web administrators.
      •Serve as the Contracting Officer's Representative for the web services contract, ensuring that the work of the contracting staff is consistent with the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Statement of work, completing all budgetary documentation requirements, and resolving any technical or administrative problems that may arise.
      •Keep up with Internet/intranet literature and emerging trends and technologies.
      •Coordinate with internal and external groups in the determination and implementation of problem solving techniques and maintaining state-of-the-art business practices.
