As a Computer Scientist in the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR), Office of Research, Division of Systems Biology (DSB), in the Innovative Safety Technologies (IST) Branch, you will work with multiple teams on computational projects that involve writing of software modules and computational platforms.

Duties

  • Conducts computational research on an NCTR-invented technology for modeling structure activity relationships for prediction of efficacy for medicines and other chemicals and/or toxicity.

  • Writes software modules and platforms in support of computational research.
  • Executes algorithms conceived by IST Branch research scientists.
  • Leads projects involved in complex internet-enabled modules in continuous development.  
  • Designs and creates software-as-a-service (SaaS) computational platforms.
