The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-13. The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is in the range of GS-11 to GS-13. The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the selected candidates education and experience and recommend the grade and step at which the candidate will be placed. The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected candidate.

SCHEDULE: M-F, 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM. You may be required to provide service evenings and
weekends as needed.
The incumbent provides a full range of diagnostic and
therapeutic services by Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT), including individual and
group Evidence Based Therapy (EBT) and the use of psychological testing for
patients within the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS). The incumbent will provide some services
during evening hours to accommodate veteran needs.
Performs psychological evaluations for
individuals with mental health and medical disorders for purposes of diagnostic
clarification and treatment planning recommendations by CVT. These evaluations employ a comprehensive
diagnostic interview, review of available records, collateral contact when available, as well as objective, and psychological tests when indicated.
Provides a full range of psychological
therapeutic interventions with individuals with mental health and medical
disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities when indicated by CVT.
Gathers outcome data and develops a
protocol for evaluating program effectiveness and cost benefit of CVT
Consults with the serves as a resource for
other professional personnel concerning the need for, evaluation of, and
development of psychological services in STVHCS.
May assist in the selection, training, and
supervision of staff at lower grade within assigned program areas, Psychology
Service, or STVHCS.
