This announcement is issued under the direct-hire authority to recruit for positions for which there is a critical hiring need.  Selectee(s) will receive a career or career-conditional appointment in the competitive service and may be required to serve a one year probationary period.

More than one selection may be made from this announcement should the need arise.


  • Develop operational plans and playbooks for NCCIC in coordination with public and private sector groups.
  • Develop Incident Action Plans to guide incident response and recovery actions.
  • Provide input to Sector-Specific Plans and procedures for information sharing and coordination.
  • Ensure strategic and policy collaboration as well as exercise and planning integration across the Federal cybersecurity centers; preparing and documenting available partner support actions and capabilities.
  • Support the creation, planning, and coordination of cybersecurity exercises with public and private sector.
  • Oversee the creation of lessons learned and other after action reports based on exercise results.
