As a Management Analyst, the incumbent:

-Serves as liaison and point of contact in the community for effective coordination of the Promise Zone initiative with programs of HUD, participating federal agencies, and non-governmental resources.

-Provides program assistance and a wide range of quantitative and qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and efficiency of Promise Zone initiatives and program goals.

-Networks and builds alliances with lead organizations and partners in designated communities.

-Provides advice and assists in developing policies and procedures; plans and coordinates events; and implements and monitors related Promise Zone initiatives.

-Negotiates, mediates, and/or facilitates in identifying, analyzing and resolving problems and makes recommendations.

-Performs project management duties to effectively plan, coordinate, schedule, set priorities and timelines for managing projects and resources.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: experience working with a variety of community revitalization, housing redevelopment, economic development and community outreach initiatives to build effective coalitions, strategies and create new community-based education and service programs through customer needs assessment, measuring quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction, and establishing and maintaining working relationships with lead organizations, partners in designated communities and with Federal, state, and city agencies.


Experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:


- A 1-year probationary period is required. (unless already completed)
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
