The incumbent serves as a Financial Systems Analyst in the Office of Administrative Services, Business Technology Division, Branch as Assigned. The incumbent provides financial and technical analysis and conducts special projects that relate to any Office of Administrative Services systems, including but not limited to Oracle, Discoverer, Concur, Prism, WebTA, Citidirect, and IPAC.
As a Financial Systems Analyst, you will:
- Participate in the management and maintenance of financial systems utilized by the Administrative Resource Center. These systems are comprised of personal computers, terminal servers, interfaces, complicated and high-speed communications systems, and manual processes.
- Train users on how to use the financial systems. This includes developing the training materials such as exercises and handouts, explaining how to enter transactions, query the systems, and run various reports.
- Write clear and concise reports for a diverse audience. Write well-organized reports that include texts and graphs as appropriate. Although the reports contain technical information and complex analysis the final product is easy to understand by the target audience.
- Manage special projects that can cover the range of office activities from systems analysis through financial analysis. Convert broad conceptual approaches into specific action items and recommendations. Sometimes acts as team leader and coordinates across office lines.
