The FRTIB is an Independent Federal Agency responsible for administering the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). We help Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The FRTIB is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as a TSP Training and Liaison Specialist. At the full performance level, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of specific programs and services designed to improve the administration of the TSP by Federal agencies and the uniformed services.

 

Please note: Management will make selection at the GS-11 or GS-12 level only. The full performance grade of this position is GS-13.

Duties

The major duties of the position are:

·         Develops and provides training on the TSP and its operations to Federal agency and uniformed services representatives, employees and members, the TSP call centers and other contractor personnel, and other interested entities and organizations.

·         Provides technical guidance on regulations, policies and procedures related to contributions, loan payments, and associated activities to assist agency and uniformed services personnel and payroll representatives.

·         Assists in the resolution of participant concerns and problems.
