This position is located at IMCOM Pacific Region, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Our organization's mission is to support each Warrior, Family and Community with sustainable services, ensuring power projection readiness from Hawaii.

Incumbent serves as a senior program analyst for IMCOM Pacific Region, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR), Community Recreation Division providing subject matter expertise and recommendations.

Entitled to 12.25% Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA). COLA is subject to change without notice.

Serves as a senior program analyst for IMCOM Pacific Region, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR), Community Recreation Division, providing subject matter expertise and recommendations to the command and Army Staff. Recommends and develops future recreation programs and activities. Analyzes policy issues and develops programs, policies, procedures and practices that promote economy, efficiency and effectiveness in Recreation operations. Conducts training and briefings for installation, Region and Army staff. Reviews and develops proposed changes in directive, including the identification and analysis of issues, evaluation and presentation of alternative, implementation of decisions, preparation of material for use by higher authority and subordinate commands, monitors and analyzes follow-up actions. Monitors implementation and compliance with established policies and programs. Is the technical expert providing in-depth specialized knowledge and experience to develop new approaches to issues previously unresponsive to accepted methods. Recommendations may change organizational programs and policies. Develops deadlines and projects. Keeps supervisor informed, but resolves most conflicts that arise. Interprets on own initiative; completed work reviewed for feasibility, effectiveness and compatibility with other work. Work impacts on other technical experts or on the well being of substantial numbers of people. Fosters frequent contacts outside the organization in unstructured settings to influence or control their decisions. Supports and administers programs under the Recreation Delivery System (RDS) guidelines. Assists in the formulation of budgets.May perform other duties as assigned.

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Experience must reflect multiple MWR recreation program work (ACS, CYS, Recreation/Sports, Business, NAF Support). Managerial or supervisory work experience demonstrating wide-ranging analytical skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner by word of mouth and in writing. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences. Strong organizational skills. Participation and successful completion in formal training in recreation and programming. Aiblity to to use standard office software (ex. Microsoft Office suite etc.) such as for word processing, graphics presentation, spreadsheet and email.

Highly Preferred are candidates that are proficient in ACRRO, ISR-I/S, SNACS, SMIRF, iMets, FMBS, RecTrac  AND DPCDS possess four (4) years experience in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) recreation and program management that provided knowledge of overall MWR operations and operational experience in RDS, training and facilitating OR posess a Graduate degree in recreation or applicable field to include a MBA or CPA and also possess two (2) additional years of training and work experience in garrison FMWR recreation programs at a managerial or higher level.


Conditions of employment:

1. A one-year probationary period may be required.

2. Meet all qualification/eligibility requirements.

3.  Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check. 

4. Successfully complete all required background checks.


5. Duty related travel required.


6. Must be available to work occasional nights, holidays and weekends.
