This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) with duties in the "Professional" work category and at the Entry/Developmental work level.
The organizational location of this position is: AFMC, Rome Laboratory, Information Directorate, Information & Intelligence Exploitation Division, Special Security Office, Rome NY.

· Assists in the administration of varied security programs for the organization, maintains programs and inputs data to the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) regarding personnel, physical and information security programs.
· Assists in the administration of the Information Security Program, reviews DoD, USAF and MAJCOM policies and may draft local procedures for the classification and protection of national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by the installation.
· Assists in the implementing of established security policies, practices, procedures and techniques to a variety of organizations or situations that differ in kind and level of security, complexity and local conditions or circumstances requiring adjustment or modification of established approaches.
· Reviews and updates Fixed Facility Checklist for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), requests Temporary Secure Working Areas (TSWA) permits, provides input as requested for the establishment of temporary SCI facilities (SCIF)s.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
