AREA III:  All Members of the NJNG

 

If a New Jersey Army National Guard (NJARNG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJANG

 

If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered.   Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank.   If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:   Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:

AFSC: 4E0X1

 

NOTE: THE INDIVIDUAL SELECTED HAS ONE YEAR TO OBTAIN ADVERTISED AFSC/MOS

 

LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION:  MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET CLEARANCE

 

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: To obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB Score of   44 in the General area.   ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position, however applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position. The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/Military Personnel Office

Duties

The following list of duties is not conclusive but provides a brief snapshot of the duties that may be required for this position:  A copy of the complete position description is available in the Human Resource Office.

 

DUTIES:  Manages the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) mandated occupational health education and training programs and Department of Defense Instruction (DODI). Manages the OSHA and AFOSH mandated occupational health medical surveillance program. Coordinates OHMEs within the MDG and ensures pre-placement, annual/periodic, and termination examinations are completed.  Studies, analyzes and develops workplace-specific trends by summarizing, interpreting and managing OHME results. Implements, manages and oversees the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Hearing Conservation (DOEHRS-HC) Hearing Conservation Program (HCP).
