The FRTIB is an Independent Federal Agency responsible for administering the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). We help Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The FRTIB is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Supervisory Multimedia Specialist responsible for supervising the functions and initiatives that fall within the purview of the Web and Graphic / Visual Design Team's mission.
An ideal candidate would possess a wide range of experience in web and graphics, possess excellent supervisory skills, and encompass experience educating audiences in financial or retirement planning through Web and Graphic design.

The major duties of the position are:
· Develops and implements strategies and proposals to identify and address current issues pertaining to communication activities involved in educating TSP participants and meeting their online needs and expectations.
· Supervises, and plans the work of a subordinate staff of visual/graphic designers, motion graphics producers, and Web front-end development and design specialists.
· Proposes and encourages innovations and new initiatives to improve the effectiveness of overall communication and education efforts.
· Monitors trends in new media and online communication and identifies industry best practices, evaluating and, as appropriate, applying those proven to be the most successful methods of engagement.
