About the Position:
This is an Expedited Hiring Authority Announcement. Subsection 1705(h) of title 10, U.S.C., as amended by Section 831 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010 (NDAA 2010) provides that the Secretary of Defense may designate acquisition positions within the Department of Defense as shortage positions or where there is a critical hiring need, and can recruit and appoint qualified persons directly to positions so designated.
For appointment to the position, candidates meet or will meet DAWIA certification requirements within specified timeframes.

Position is located in the Installation Management Directorate, Information Technology Services Branch. Incumbent serve as senior project manager for multiple information technology projects. Plans, develops, coordinates and implements processes and procedures related to management systems for information technology projects managed within the Huntsville Center.

Manage one or more major multi-year Information Technology initiatives.
Lead team in development of scopes, schedules, and budgets for Information Technology projects.
Manage the development of long-and short-range planning in areas related to Information Technology requirements.
Plan, develop, implement, integrate and coordinate the Information Technology requirements for assigned projects.
Monitor dollar amount utilization of these contracts and advises when replacement contracts are anticipated.
Interpret and comply with criteria, regulations, policies, and procedures for Information Technology projects.
