About the Agency

The Department of Management and Administration (DMA) is a support organization and provides critical services to the rest of OPIC that enable the agency to meet its mission goals. These services include managing OPIC information resources and systems, information system and physical security, access to and protection of classified information, procurement and contracting, and facilities and tangible property.


Under the guidance of the Information Systems Security Officer, the intern will assist with various projects related to Information Security management. Such projects may include participation in security awareness activities, design and implementation of security measures (both technical and procedural), analysis of federal security requirements, system security documentation, and security testing. The Intern will gain an understanding of security requirements in the federal environment as well as general security best practices. Background and coursework in information technology, good oral and written communication skills. Background and/or coursework related to computer security preferred. Ability to work independently, follow directions, and complete work as assigned.
