If you are selected for this Program Specialist position, you will serve as the Data Manager for the Checkpoint Technology Division (CTD) within the Office of Security Capabilities (OSC), in the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will be the designated program official for oversight audits, including responding to and providing information/data to fulfill Government Accountability Office and Office of the Inspector General requests and audits. You will act as CTD's subject matter expert on security cleared information, Sensitive Security Information (SSI), and related classification policies and standards, relying on your expertise on all SSI policy issues and performing documentation redactions and proper initial classifications across all projects under TSA’s Passenger Screening Program (PSP).
- Developing and maintaining CTD's internal data management system. Organizing, categorizing and classifying all program documentation in PSP's data management system. Utilizing office automation systems and various software packages to accomplish work.
- With limited supervision, preparing/developing a variety of correspondence, reports, Congressional inquiry responses, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative materials required to support the organization's mission. Producing a wide-range of documents into final form. Assuring that the content of all outgoing correspondence is consistent with the organization's mission, goals, and objectives. Ensuring clarity, completeness of reply, grammatical and procedural correctness, and conformance to regulation and organizational standards.
- Organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and conferences with internal and external TSA participation.
- Attending conferences and meetings with various internal and external government and industry organizations, key stakeholders, and senior level management regarding program status and reports. Discussing matters in assigned areas of responsibility and furnishing information based on studies made and familiarity with administrative policies and procedures of the Division.

To qualify for the SV-H Pay Band (equivalent to GS-12), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-G Pay Band or GS-11 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes applying knowledge of data management systems and records management including knowledge of classification guidelines for Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Classified Materials; and employing comprehensive knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, word usage and format to write and proofread official letters, memoranda, briefings and presentation materials, and narrative reports for a wide variety of audiences.
NOTE: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour work week. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
