Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki has announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be adding approximately 1,600 mental health clinicians – to include nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers as well as nearly 300 support staff to its existing workforce.

Duties

The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center is recruiting for a full-time staff psychologist to provide Evidenced Based Psychotherapies (EBP) for Posttraumatic stress disorder using secure video technologies (e.g., telemedicine). The incumbent psychologist will work as part of multidisciplinary teams in a collegial and collaborative environment and will have some administrative responsibilities relating to performance other outcome measures aimed at enhancing clinical care. Opportunities for independent research and/or clinical supervision are available for interested applicants.
