This position is located at FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE DIVISION, Candidates selected for this position will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES CLERK for MCCS.

Receives incoming telephone calls for repairs to facilities, equipment, plant account equipment and utilities, arranges for action and service to be performed, provides general information and answers questions pertaining to routine matters.  Receives requests for emergency service, enters into computer, determines priority of request and assigns work in most efficient job sequence.  Prepares daily job list of all service calls received.  Prepares detailed job orders for maintenance repairs, alterations, and minor construction projects.  Tracks jobs for cost analysis for time and materials.  Prepares new orders for jobs not completed from previous day for scheduling.  Coordinates with Maintenance Supervisor for scheduling work crews.  Maintains voice radio contact with crews.  Prepares detailed employee daily recap report, jobs worked on with time involved.  Composes and prepare Base Maintenance work requests for non-emergency work.  Contacts Base Maintenance for emergency repairs; maintains log.  Contacts vendors for repairs that cannot be accomplished in-house.

Audit time cards; records leave time; orders all supplies for Division; responds to oral and written request for information from files and records; assists with annual inventory of Consolidated Memorandum Receipt (CMR) from property section and make receipt for new property; performs a wide variety of clerical duties; maintains security of parts and tool room and ensures proper accountability of issued and returned tools.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Takes action to solve problems quickly.  Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.  Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.  Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

A minimum of one year of experience that demonstrates knowledge of clerical methods, forms, techniques, and administrative procedures.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.    Must have knowledge of calculators, personal computers, and other office equipment.  Ability to use good judgment to set priorities for emergency repairs.  This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20lbs may be required.
